I want to start a collection of model diecasts, but I wanted to know if there are physical stores I can visit to see the cars. I live in Northern Virginia if that is any help. Other than official websites, are there other reliable websites I can buy from? Last question, what is better overall (including price and quality) Autoart or Kyosho? Thanks.

I do not know of a retail store in your area, You should check out http://www.thecarroom.com. The Car Room is a print magazine and a website. They do not sell scale models. They do give honest reviews of models. The website features “in-hand” model reviews. The magazine features close-up photography and written reviews. They regularly feature models from AutoArt, Kyosho, GMP, HWY 61.
The Car Room Magazine does have a list of reliable retailers.
Kyosho packs more features (like working suspension etc.) into their models. Both manufacturer make a high quality product.
